Roofr PDF Signer is a built-in electronic signature solution that allows contractors to streamline their documentation process. Instead of printing, signing, scanning, and emailing documents manually, you can handle the entire signature collection process electronically, within Roofr.

👁️ Access Note: Anyone with access to the Roofr job can view the associated documents.
- Team managers and owners can manage, edit, delete and create templates and signature documents
How to Create a Template for Roofr PDF Signer
💡 Templates are not associated with a particular job, information is created as placeholders and filled when associated with a job.
- Access Roofr PDF Signer
- Navigate to PDF Signer section
- Select Create Template
- Upload your PDF document
- Click Upload from your device and select a PDF document you wish to add fillable fields to, or
- Select a document from your Roofr File Manager
- Add dynamic and fillable fields to your document
- Use the toolbar to add different types of fields by click and dragging onto the document
- Dynamic Fields will be automatically filled with the information from the associated job
- Fillable Fields must be manually filled by the Roofr account user or the signer
- Customer fields are blue. These fields can only be signed by the customer that you are sending the document to
- Contractor fields are orange. These fields can only be completed by the Roofr team member that this document is assigned to
- Insurance fields are gray. This information is pulled from the Insurance Fields in the job card
- Fields are re-sizeable by holding and dragging on a touch screen
- Templates will auto-save
- Link the document to a job
- Click Use Template
- Select the address of the job and click Continue
💡 You can also create a PDF Signer document directly from the job card
- Preview and Sign
- Click Preview to add contractor specific fillable information
Roofr offers two options for collecting signatures and fillable information on your document: Sign Now and Send Now
SIGN NOW
Use this option to collect a signature immediately on your device.
- From the preview screen click Sign Now
- This will open the document in signing mode
- Hand your device to the signer
- Signer can review the document and complete all required fields
- When finished, click Complete to confirm
SEND NOW
Use this option when you need to send documents to recipients via email.
- From the preview screen click Send
- Enter recipient information
- Ensure the customer name and email is correct in the To: section
- Edit the email subject and message body as desired
💡Documents will be time-stamped when the signer completes their interactions.
View document history:
- Search your documents by document name, address or customer
- Select the options menu (…) at the left of the listing you wish to view and select View History

A history panel will display all document activities chronologically, including actions, users, and timestamps
💡 View the document history and proof of delivery and recipient engagement, in the job card.
